Two drama series from the two rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA Network ended on Friday, March 19.

ABS-CBN teleserye Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin and GMA Network’s Love of My Life had their finale episodes, respectively.
Based on the numbers provided by AGB Nielsen NUTAM measurement, Love of My Life ended on a high note scoring 19.7%.
ABS-CBN’s teleserye Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin on the other hand, got a combined rating of 5.5%.
It should be noted that ABS-CBN’s programs are being aired on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5 which only accounts for only 17 stations (15-owned and affiliated stations of TV5 and 2 of A2Z); while GMA Network has more than 50-owned and affiliated stations nationwide. A big difference and a big advantage for a wider audience share.
Meanwhile, in its finale, Love of My Life featured how Nikolai (Mikael Daez) granted the wish of their mother Isabella (Coney Reyes) on her birthday and that is to reunite their family.
But the highlight of the last episode was Nikolai finding his true love in Kelly which leads to their wedding and building of a happy family.
Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, on the other hand, showcased a heart-stealing episode when Marissa (Jodi) was shot after taking the bullet intended for Ellice (Iza). Marissa went to a near-death experience where she was able to reunite with her son Jacob who told her that it’s not her time yet.
Ellice upon realization of all sacrifices Marissa has done for her then admitted her sins and surrendered to the authorities where she was sentenced to life imprisonment.
In the end, Ellice and Marissa chanced upon each other after the former has served her sentence. While Marissa said that they may not go back to their friendship, the two hoped that in the future they may cross paths again and build and mend their relationship.
