Seasoned actor Diether Ocampo clarified that he did not disappear from showbiz. He said that he was in training and conditioning.

In the media conference event for ABS-CBN Entertainment’s upcoming teleserye, Huwag Kang Mangamba, Ocampo is quoted.

“Hindi naman ako nawala. I’ve been busy lang doing my own thing.”

Then, he added that he was improving himself through training and conditioning.

“Trying to improve ourselves, in my case, I’ve been doing some training and conditioning. Mentally, and of course, physically.”

He added that he is excited about acting [again] in front of the camera.

“I was more excited to come back, come back (in) the sense na, magbabalik sa harapan ng camera. Dahil matagal nga tayong nag-ensayo.”

Diether also recounted working with the Gold Squad (Andrea Brillantes, Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Seth Fedelin). He said it reminded him of his earlier days in showbiz.

“It’s quite a big surprise for me to be working with the new ones, yung mga ngayon ko lang nakilala lalo na yung mga Gold Squad. And, (I’m) very impressed. It reminds me so much of our early days in the industry.”

Diether said that the teleserye reminded him to focus on his faith.

“Dun ko na na-realize na mayroon pa palang isang aspeto ng buhay ko na hindi ko nate-train, which is yung my faith. Spiritually, I had to renew my faith.”

Diether worked on hit Kapamilya teleseryes such as Mula sa Puso, Gimik, Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas, Guns and Roses, and Apoy sa Dagat.

Now the seasoned actor that he is, he returns to an inspirational teleserye, Huwag Kang Mangamba. The series stars Gold Squad members Andrea, Francine, Kyle, and Seth. Aside from the Gold Squad, the teleserye also has a powerhouse cast including Sylvia Sanchez, Nonie Buencamino, Mylene Dizon, RK Bagatsing, Dominic Ochoa, Enchong Dee, Angeline Quinto, Matet De Leon, Soliman Cruz, Mercedes Cabral, Paolo Gumabao, and Alyanna Angeles.

Created by Rondel Lindayag and Danica Domingo and directed by Emmanuel Q. Palo, Jerry Lopez Sineneng, and Darnel Villaflor, the series aims to bring Bro (Jesus), faith, and inspiration back to the small screen.

The teleserye premieres on March 20 on iWantTFC and on March 22 on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live.
