Indeed, GMA Network is home to the country’s highly-talented artists after some of its talents received nominations at the Philippine Movie Press Club’s (PMPC) 12th edition of Star Awards For Music.
Vying for Album of the Year is ‘BoBrey Live’ of hit Kapuso loveteam Rita Daniela and Ken Chan. The two are also nominated under the categories Duo/Group Concert Performer of the Year for their ‘My Special Love: #BoBreyInConcert’ and for Duo/Group Artist of the Year for their single ‘Tayo ay Forever.’
Kapuso Action Drama Prince Ruru Madrid is a finalist under the Male Pop Artist of the Year category.
Kapuso Soul Balladeer Garrett Bolden earned two nominations for his song ‘Handa Na Maghintay’ under the categories Male Recording Artist of the Year and Male Pop Artist of the Year.
For her single ‘More than Before,’ The Clash Season 1 Grand Champion Golden Cañedo and Maricris Garcia for ‘Kahit Ganun Pa Man’ are both nominated for Female Pop Artist of the Year.
International Stage Performer and Soul Diva Aicelle Santos is a contender for the Female Recording Artist of the Year as well as Collaboration of the Year with singer-actress Maricris Garcia for their song ‘Bakit Siya.’
Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara and singer Princess Velasco are both nominated for Female Acoustic of the Year for their songs ‘Paalam Na’ and ‘Kaunti Na Lang,’ respectively.
Bryan Chong for his single ‘Pakiusap,’ Jeric Gonzales for ‘Taksil’ and Mcoy Fundales for ‘Bakit Kita Hahabulin’ are all nominated under the Male Acoustic Artist of the Year category.
Bryan and Jeric are also both vying for the title New Male Recording Artist of the Year.
Meanwhile, Kyryll is nominated under the Female R&B Artist of the Year category for her song ‘Silent Rumblings’ and finally, Anthony Rosaldo is a finalist for Revival Recording of the Year for his single ‘Maghintay Ka Lamang.’
The virtual awarding ceremony date will be released soon by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC).
