On her latest vlog on YouTube, the actress Kim Chiu played a Truth or Drink Challenge.
Upon being asked the question of whether if she got slapped really hard while doing a scene and who slapped her, the actress confidently replied, ‘Truth’ meaning she would not gulp down a mystery drink and would testify true statements.
She recalled the incident that she got slapped hard by Glydel Mercado on her first TV series, Sana Maulit Muli.
“Ang sakit talaga pero du’n ko naman hinugot yung acting ko kaya okay lang naman. Nagkulong ako sa kotse nu’n…after ng ilang eksena nagkulong ako, tumakbo ako sa kotse ko.
“Crayola talaga ako ‘nun gusto ko nang umuwi that time sa Cebu…Buti na lang napigilan ko ang self ko, nagbalik pa ako sa work,” she said.
She admitted that Glydel Mercado’s slapping her caused her too much pain that she almost left for Cebu. Good thing that she was able to compose herself and gone back to work after the trauma and pain subsided.
Chiu rose to fame after being the winner Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition in 2006.
With less than a year in the showbiz industry, during that time, she was still not accustomed to some heavy physical scenes.
Sana Maulit Muli was produced by the ABS-CBN in 2007. It was Kim Chiu’s first primetime soap where she played the lead role. In the soap opera, she worked with other stars such as Gerald Anderson as her leading man, Erich Gonzales, and Jake Cuenca.
