Nadine Lustre, stressed over her upcoming online concert amid the Viva Artists Agency court ruling?

Kapamilya star Nadine Lustre shared her thoughts for her upcoming online concert amid her management contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA).

Lustre’s online concert Absolute Madness will be produced by her label, Careless Music. It will stream via Kumu on July 3.

VAA issued a cease-and-desist order for Lustre; preventing her from entering into and/or performing contracts involving her services as an artist/endorser, without the consent and participation of the said agency.

According to Lustre’s legal counsel Atty. Lorna Kapunan, the petition filed by VAA is not yet final as the actress still has 15 days to appeal the decision.

“Tuloy ang concert. We will file a motion for reconsideration,” said Kapunan.

The singer-actress expressed her thoughts on the issue, saying that her main focus right now is her upcoming concert and that she will let her lawyers handle everything.

“I remain focused on giving good entertainment at this time as my contribution to everyone’s sound mental health,” she said.

VAA’s petition against Lustre got granted recently since its filing in 2020 following the unilateral abrogation of her contract with the Viva Artists Agency.

VAA claimed, “Lustre contracted independently with advertisers, promoters, and other third parties, disregarding her exclusive contract with Viva. The lawsuit filed seeks to stop Nadine from continuously violating her ‘agency and management contract’ with VAA.”

Lustre’s upcoming online concert is still pushing through despite the lack of VAA’s support or participation.

Her first digital solo concert Absolute Madness will feature songs from her 2020 album, Wildest Dreams.

Described as a sonic and visual experience like no other, the first lady of Philippine theater, Menchu Lauchenco-Yulo directs Lustre’s solo concert. It will also feature James Reid, Massiah, and the A-Team.
