Kapuso talent Pamela Prinster finally opened up about the rumors surrounding her during her StarStruck days.
In 2019, she was an Avenger in the seventh season of the Kapuso reality talent competition, StarStruck. There she was rumored to be dating Andre Paras. But then, another speculation arose as Edgar Allan Guzman was rumored to be texting heart emojis, despite being in a relationship, to the then-contestant Prinster.
At last, the young artist finally spoke on Friday, June 25, about those rumors during the virtual press conference for the All-Out Sundays (AOS) new segment, Fresh Young Peeps (FYP).
Apparently, there was nothing going on between her and Paras. They were friends since they have worked together in the 2016 Kapuso series, That’s My Amboy.
“Well, Andre has been my friend since That’s My Amboy pa. So matagal na kaming magkakilala. But nothing romantic,” explained Prinster.
In fact, Paras never tried courting her. Prinster believes that people thought they were an item since they have a lot in common. And to further squash such an issue, the young artist revealed that she and the actor treat each other like siblings.
“No. Kasi siguro we both have a similar family life. Same humor, same likes, dislikes. But I always look up to him as my kuya and he look to me as a little sister. I think people just kind of took—like when we hang out, na we were so close lang talaga.”
In the case of EA, Prinster also denied ever dating him. She felt that the actor is just a nice guy and people only interpreted his kindness as something more.
“He’s always been nice. He’s just always kind of nagbibigay ng advice or gumagabay sa akin. And I really respect him when it comes to acting. At talagang, I was wow! At least there is someone who is looking out for me.
“He’s a nice guy. I feel like people just—parang mini-misconstrue lang yung [kaniyang] intention.”
In the meantime, as part of the new segment of AOS, Prinster is excited when the finally comes that she can perform to a live audience. Since the pandemic struck, health protocols must be strictly followed especially in the showbiz industry. And Prinster, who is a member of the first batch of FYP, would like to feel the rush of performing live.
“I’m super excited especially that I missed performing with a live audience; to just be able to interact with people. You know, being able to wave and smile, to see how they react. Iba yung thrill talaga eh.
“Kahit nung nag-taping kami sa AOS. Of course, it is still fun. Pero iba yung adrenaline na may live audience. Mas na-eenganyo ako. So, I’m just really excited for that feeling again,” admitted Prinster.
Other than her, she will be joined by Michael V.’s daughter, Brianna Bunagan, Mitzi Josh, Gabrielle Hahn, and Niño Muhlach’s son, Sandro Muhlach. Together, they form the first batch of the newly discovered talents of GMA Network.
This Sunday, they will be performing in All-Out Sunday‘s segment, Fresh Young Peeps
