Angeli Pangilinan dismisses rumors about Gary Valenciano’s plans of leaving ABS-CBN or joining politics

Gary Valenciano renewed his contract with ABS-CBN in February during the contract signing event called ‘Kapamilya Strong.’ He signed a contract with ABS-CBN along with Maymay Entrata, Edward Barber, Francine Diaz, Donny Pangilinan, and Arjo Atayde.

Angeli Pangilinan, the wife of Gary Valenciano, assured that her husband will not leave the Sunday variety show ASAP and will stay with ABS-CBN.

Recently, rumors spread that Valenciano will leave the ABS-CBN network and transfer to other networks or join politics.

The speculations first started after the singer-host posted on twitter that he’s making a big decision.

“Can I ask you say a prayer for me? Major decisions I need to make and I hope I make the one that is truly lead by the Spirit,” he said.

Netizens then claimed that Valenciano is either transferring network or joining the politics.

However, Pangilinan noted that the major decision of her husband is about life or personal decision.

“Pure Gossip. Where did you get that? He had to make a personal decision not a professional decision. People speculated. Rest assured he will remain in @ASAPOfficial We respect the decisions of others to move but he is not led to do so,” she said.

She also mentioned that Valenciano never considered leaving his home Network for more than 18 years. She then thanked those who prayed for her husband.

“I ended up reading comments of fans and followers of @GaryValenciano1 when he publicly asked for prayer which he rarely does. I was amused & touched that many speculated & assumed he was leaving ABS. It was a private decision he had to make. And no he is not going into politics!

“For the last 18 years @GaryValenciano1 has been part of the Kapamilya network. They have treated him well & saw us thru his medical crisis, even giving him @worldofdance @WODABSCBN after the bypass/cancer challenge. Don’t worry everyone. It was never considered.

“For those who have prayed with us & for him we want to thank u. It touched us deeply that hundreds perhaps thousands prayed for him. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. Naramdaman namin ang pagmamahal ninyo at lungkot. Huwag kayong mag-alala. Mananatili siyang Kapamilya,” said Pangilinan.

She also explained that Valenciano’s recent absence in ASAP is because of his dengue fever.

“Hi all the reason Gary has been absent on @ASAPOfficial is because he had dengue fever and he is okay already !!!! Don’t worry he remains a Kapamilya hehe and a Kapatid in a way and a friend of the Kapusos all forever,” she said.
