After they worked together for the first time, Charlie Dizon and Joshua Garcia, theViral Scandal stars complimented each other on Thursday, November 11.
The two took turns in sharing their working experiences during the show’s virtual media conference.
Dizon shared how she witnessed Garcia’s prowess in acting, revealed that the actor helped her be at ease during heavy scenes.
“Totoo po yung tsismis na magaling na artista si Joshua.
“Kasi talagang tumutulong siya sa mga eksena. May mga times na halimbawa mabigat ang eksena namin, tinatanong niya ako kung anong part sa script kung gusto niya ipa-peel para mas tamaan ako, mga ganoong bagay.”
Garcia, on the other hand, shared that he was speechless with the acting skills of Dizon. He even noted that the actress deserved the Best Actress award for her 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Fan Girl.
“Wala akong masabi. Talagang tama, dapat nga siya ang naging best actress. Magaling si Charlie,” commended the actor.
Also, Garcia got impressed with Dizon’s portrayal of Jane in her award-winning film and shared he was caught off-guard by the character’s choices made in the movie.
“Magaling siya umarte siyempre. Okay ka doon ha? Grabe yung mga choices mo dun talagang talon sa bangin talaga. Magugulat na lang ako na, ‘Woah! Ginawa niya ‘yon?!’ yung ganoon. Ako nagulat ako sa’yo dun kasi ibang Charlie sa nakilala ko ngayon. Ang galing lang. Na-appreciate ko yung trabaho mo doon,” he explained.
When asked to assess themselves as onscreen partners, Dizon pointed that since she is [currently] paired with Garcia–he is the best for her.
“Kasi si Joshua nakakatulong naman po talaga siya. Pero sa ngayon, si Joshua ang ka-partner ko, siya yung best talaga, oo.”
Meanwhile, Garcia considered every actress he gets to work with as the best partner, explaining they help him become a better actor.
“Ako hindi ko masasabing best, pero hindi ko rin masasabing worse alam mo ‘yon? Lahat kasi may tulong na nagagawa sa akin eh.
“Mas naho-hone ang acting ko from different actresses kasi iba-iba sila ng technique ng acting.
“Parang natututo ako sa kanila so I think lahat sila para sa akin ay best.”
Viral Scandal is under the direction of Dado C. Lumibao. Froy Allan Leonardo tells a story of how a simple family becomes distraught when a scandalous video involving their eldest daughter Rica (Dizon) goes viral.
The show will premiere on Monday, November 15 as part of ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida lineup.
