In an interview on November 13, Kapuso artist Lexi Gonzales named the GMA Network stars she dreams of working on her future projects.
She has been admiring Kapuso actress Marian Rivera for a long time and would love to work with her if she had the opportunity.
“Miss Marian Rivera, talagang idol na idol ko po siya… so if given a chance, nako! Baka maluha po ako,” shared Gonzales.
If she is given a chance to have a concert, she wants Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose to be the main guest.
“Dream guest? Well gusto ko po sana lahat ng ka-batchmate ko sa StarStruck nandun din. Pero idol na idol ko rin si Julie Anne San Jose, so sana maging part siya ng concert ko if ever na pagpapalain at magkaroon tayo ng concert in the future, I hope one of my main guest is Julie Anne San Jose.”
In the interview, the Kapuso artist also shared details about her new single, “Something in the Rain.”
According to her, she dedicates the song to her Lola, who passed away just one month ago due to a blood infection.
“Kasi po I learned how to sing from my lola. Siya po talaga ‘yung nag-push sa akin na, ‘oh i-practice mo ‘yung boses mo.’ Kaya po ngayon na nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na gumawa ng kanta, I really thought of my grandma kasi naisip ko, ‘ah hindi ako matututong kumanta if it’s not for her.’ So dine-dedicate ko po ‘tong kanta na ito para sa kanya,” Lexi shared.
She has always been interested in singing. Recently, Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo were her music influencers.
“My musical influencers, ngayon, I’m really really addicted to Taylor Swift. I’m on the senti stage. Last time si Olivia Rodrigo, 24/7 pinapatugtog ko kahit hanggang sa pagligo ko,” she added.
Lexi admitted that she was still nervous and scared, but she was more determined and inspired to pursue her career in the industry with the help of her family and fans.
