On December 20, Former Pinoy Big Brother: Connect housemate Andi Abaya expressed her gratitude for ABS-CBN’s trust in her career.

During the media conference for her iQiyi series, Saying Goodbye, Abaya said she’s extremely grateful for the projects and the opportunities she received after exiting the PBB House.

“I’m extremely grateful kasi grabe ‘yung tiwala, and ‘yung patience. And, ‘yung the fact the management believes in us so much. I’m really grateful na nakikitaan nila kami ng potential. And they give us these projects. So, it really pushes us to work really hard and to prove to them na hindi sila nagkakamali na kami ‘yung pinili nilang artists for the projects ng ABS-CBN.”

As for the series, she revealed how she and her love team partner, Kobie Brown, received the call from their handlers about their role in Saying Goodbye.

“We were called by our handlers po and she informed us na, ‘Congrats, you got a new project. You guys will be doing a project.’ Tapos ‘yun na po, nagkaroon po kami ng meeting with Mama Carl, with Direk Dolly, tapos tuloy-tuloy na po ‘yun at sobrang thankful po kami na kasama kami sa project na ‘yun.”

She then shared what she learned on the set of the iQiyi digital series.

“What I learned po is that ‘yun ‘yung tiwala sa sarili, and you believe and yourself. And, most especially, nakikita mo talaga kung papaano ka magiging grateful. This is such a big project and kami ‘yung pinagkatiwalaan ng management. So, if they trust in us, we should trust in ourselves as well.”

Abaya also shared her thoughts on the challenges the Filipinos faced for 2021.

“We’ve all seen kung gaano naka-apekto ito sa ating lahat and sa coming elections I hope we choose the right and responsible set of goverment officials.”

She then admitted her career for 2021 was a big surprise for her, adding her hopes for 2022.

“Everything this year was a big surprise for me. Hindi ko po inexpect na makakamit ko ‘yung mga pangarap ko sa industriyang ito.

“I hope for 2022. I will work hard, of course, to open more doors for me in this industry.”

Saying Goodbye stars Gold Squad members Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin alongside new Kapamilya artists Kobie Brown and Nio Tria.

The digital series directed by Dolly Dulu streams for free exclusively on the iQiyi PH app or iQ.com, and new episodes drop every Saturday at 8 PM.
