On December 16, comedian Empoy Marquez shared his reaction to Niña Niño‘s win for Best Drama Series in Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021.

During the Himala ng Pasko Media Con, Marquez described the cast members’ emotions as overwhelmed, happy, thankful for the recognition.

He noted that the cast dedicated the award to the fans who supported the series since it first aired in April 2021.

He then detailed how the cast bonded throughout their locked-in tapings and admitted they missed each other.

“Sobra ‘yung bonding namin dito at feeling namin nga kapag nasa bahay kami parang ganito, sa kani-kanilang tahanan namimiss talaga namin ‘yung Quezon Province, ‘yung location namin doon, ‘yung Sta. Inez, ‘yung staff and crew, lahat po.

The cast of the series includes Maja Salvador, Noel Comia Jr., Empoy, Moi Bien, Dudz Teraña, Rowi Du, Lilet Esteban, Yayo Aguila, Giselle Sanchez, JM Salvado, Welwel Silvestre, Junyka Santarin, and Mutya Orquia.

Earlier, Niña Niño brought pride to TV5 and Pinoys with their National Win for Best Drama Series in Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021.

As the year comes to a close, Niña Niño celebrates the Holidays by announcing its series extension and the addition of new characters, including Matet De Leon, Jairus Aquino, Nikki Valdez, Alex Medina, Harvey Bautista, Nikko Natividad, and Mon Confiado.
