On Tuesday, January 4, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes took the name of the actress, Beauty Gonzalez literally as he loved working with her on I Can See You: AlterNate.
“Literally, it’s such a beautiful experience working with Beauty,” he said in the virtual media conference of the show.
Furthermore, he was honored to have played his role as Nate and Michael alongside Gonzalez.
“I’m very lucky na nagawa ko itong napakaharap na dalawang roles na ito sa harap ng isang napakagaling na aktres.”
The two worked for the first time in the upcoming suspense-thriller series and Dantes was impressed by the actress’s dedication to her craft.
“Kasi talagang I respect her artistry. I think she’s such a brilliant artist hindi lang sa larangan ng pag-arte kundi sa napakaraming iba pang bagay,” the actor expressed.
He also admitted being surprised by Gonzalez’s nuances during their scenes, realizing that it takes “two to tango” in acting.
“Minsan nga nahuhuli ko ang sarili ko na nagugulat dahil sa mga ibinibigay niyang mga nuances na iba-iba. Kasi s’yempre iba yung ibibigay niya kay Nate iba rin ang ibibigay niya kay Michael.
“I guess d’yan talaga papasok ang teamwork. Parang sayaw din ‘yan eh. Hindi mabubuo ang isang eksena, hindi maisasabuhay ang isang karakter kung walang ka-eksena,” Dantes realized.
Meanwhile, the actress felt so happy that GMA network granted her wish: to work with Dantes on a project.
“I’m so happy, I feel so lucky. I mean I don’t get one Mr. Dingdong but I get two. So I’m very happy it’s double the trouble, double the fun, double the excitement,” she exclaimed.
The actress also showed her appreciation to Dantes and admitted that she was blown away by his acting in the series.
“Actually ang galing nga ni Dingdong kasi talagang nako-confuse na rin ako minsan kapag kaharap ko siya. Like nag-iiba din siya pagdating kay Nate at iba din siya pagdating kay Michael.”
Gonzalez also now believes in the saying, “be careful what you wish for” as she has finally got to work with Dantes.
“Sabi nga nila ‘be careful what you wish for.’ Now I got what I wished for so I’m very nervous but at the same time I’m very excited for everyone to see this beautiful project,” she stated.
I Can See You: AlterNate is directed by Dominic Zapata and includes Ricky Davao, Jackie Lou Blanco, and Joyce Pring. The mini-series will run for four weeks starting on Monday, January 10 on GMA Telebabad.
