On January 5, Kapuso artist Jo Berry expressed her gratitude to GMA Network for giving her inspiring roles.
During the media conference for the series Little Princess, Berry said she aimed to inspire other people through her acting.
Berry added that her role in Little Princess was her escape when dealing with the loss of three of her family members.
The whole time po kasi, bago ako pumasok ng locked-in, may mabigat po akong pinagdadaanan. So noong nandoon ako. Si Princess po ang naging takas ko for a while na alam ko kailangan ko siyang gampanan.”
Berry’s father, brother, and grandfather passed away in 2021.
She also noted that she channeled her emotions following the loss of her family members into portraying her role as ‘Princess.’
“And at the same time po, ‘yung mga hugot ko po noong time na ‘yun nagamit ko po kay Princess. So ‘yung natutunan ko po sa kanya para mas maging malakas at ipagpatuloy ang buhay is lahat ng challenges na dumadating sa atin is dumadating sa atin ‘yan dahil kaya nating harapin. Kaya nating solusyunan.
Little Princess stars Jo Berry, Rodjun Cruz, Juancho Trivino, Angelika Dela Cruz, Jestoni Alarcon, and Geneva Cruz. The inspirational series premieres on January 10, 2022, during GMA Afternoon Prime.
