Artist Angelina Cruz, on February 10, talked about her family bonding moments with her parents, Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz.
During the media conference for her music release, Cruz recalled the Instagram story from December 2021, that showed her and her sisters bonding with their father, Cesar Montano.
“We’re in good terms kami ng Dad ko. I think that photo was the last time nagkita kami. This was ‘yung December, nag-aya po ‘yung Dad ko, nag-aya po siya, kasi he wanted to celebrate my little sister’s Cheska’s birthday noong December so we did, we had a birthyday dinner celebration so we were able to catch up.”
Then with Valentine’s Day around the corner, Cruz revealed her and her sister’s plan to surprise their mom Sunshine Cruz.
 “I have Valentine’s plan with friends. Valentine’s siya and I also have plans with family. I have a little surprise prepared.”
Her parents got married in 2000 and got separated in 2013.
Her mom filed for an annulment soon after, and the court granted the petition in 2019.
Cruz then said she approved of her mom’s new love, Macky Mathay.
“Syempre po botong-boto, they’ve been together for five years na po kaya we’re super close to him. And I really love the trait na sobrang pag-aalaga niya kay Mom, I really love that. I really love that for them, and I’m really happy for them.”
Cruz gained popularity with her hit covers of Can’t Help Falling In Love and Hanggang Kailan, which had over 10 million streams on Spotify.Â
She recently released a cover of You Are The Reason with Kyle Juliano in 2021.
As for her newest single, Ayoko Lang dropped on digital streaming platforms under Universal Records on February 11, 2022.
