On Friday, February 4, GMA Network announced that its show Mano Po Legacy: Family Fortune will occupy a new timeslot which may or may not affect its TV ratings.
Starting February 7, the series top-billed by Barbie Forteza, Sunshine Cruz, Maricel Laxa, and Boots Anson-Roa will be shown right after I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.
It has shown a good performance since its premiere earlier on January 3, ranking fifth in AGB Nielsen’s Top 20 Most-Watched programs.
During its pilot week, it averaged an 8.3% rating with a total of 265k views for its first five YouTube episodes.
Mano Po Legacy will replace I Can See You: AlterNate after its finale today.
However, change is not always good.
The Kapamilya show Marry Me, Marry You had its ratings going downhill after replacing Huwag Kang Mangamba.
According to AGB Nielsen, the Kapamilya series only averaged 4.4% to 5.1% despite having the top-rater show FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as its pre-programming.
Still, there is no certainty that Mano Po Legacy will suffer the same fate as Marry Me, Marry You. But with the new timeslot, expect that there will be changes in terms of viewership.
The series is helmed by Director Ian Lorenos together with 2nd unit Directors Easy Ferrer and Joey De Guzman.
