Showbiz columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz defended Vice President and presidential bet Leni Robredo against the accusations of known fake news peddler Jay Sonza, Saturday, March 19.
It stemmed after Robredo, who rode a pump boat on her way to a grand rally in Basilan, Zamboanga.
On facebook, Sonza posted on March 18, claimed that the VP rode in a yacht and a speedboat before riding the said boat.
Namamalikmata ba ako o bigla lang akong nasalamangka?” wondered the former news anchor.
He then mocked Robredo by saying, “Dati-rati sa Luzon, umalis ng bahay ng naka-kotse, dumating rally ng nakahabal-habal (motorcycle) na nakatsinelas at walang suot na helmet iyong nagmaneho ng motor. Iba ka talaga Maria. Bukod tangi ka nga. BP na, magician pa.”
Diaz sneered at the seemingly “blurry” visions of Sonza.
“NAIBA NA ANG TINGIN TALAGA NI JAY SONZA. ANG TAGAL NA NIYANG HINDI NAGPAPA-CHECK UP NG MATA. SAMA MO NA PATI UTAK. NABUBULAGAN NA. KAWAWA NAMAN,” he wrote on his facebook.
Robredo was welcomed in Basilan by an estimated 45,000 supporters. She also went to the province to personally thank the various political leaders who are supporting her run.
Basilan Congressman and Deputy Speaker Mujiv Hataman, an ally of the Vice President, thanked the residents for showing up at the event.
#IpanaloNa10To!” Hataman wrote on his Facebook page.
After Basilan, the presidential aspirant went straight to Zamboanga del Norte’s Sindangan town where she also campaigned on Thursday, March 17.
