On March 26, Pride of Pinoy Pop Paul Pablo revealed the message behind his latest single, Kaya.
During an interview with Pablo, he said the song reflected the pressure he felt when he entered the adulting phase of his life.
“‘Yung Kaya is about adulting, kasi ngayon marami akong experiences or pressure na nadarama sa adulting.Â
“Kasi syempre fresh grad pa last year, hindi naman ganon katagal pa noong grumaduate ako. Pero hindi ko na-feel ‘yung transition academic, or school na life, sa papunta doon sa talagang real world na.”
He also admitted that he didn’t feel the transition between his academic life to his adult life because of the pandemic.Â
So at least nagkaroon ako ng song na very healing siya for me. ‘Yun ‘yung Kaya.”
Pablo also shared details on how he based his songs on his personal experiences, highlighting his ‘hugotronic’ genre.
“I think ‘yung guide ko talaga is ‘yung personal experience.
He then expressed gratitude to Warner Music Philippines for the opportunity they provided him.
Earlier, Pablo released the song ‘Kaya‘ under Warner Music Philippines. His singles from his ‘hugotronic’ music also include Bangin, Bai, Kalawakan, and Gulo. All of his singles are available on digital streaming platforms.
