On Monday, June 6, Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez revealed to a netizen that he was slapped with a “gag order” following the rumors that his annulment with estranged wife, Carla Abellana is now being processed.
In an Instagram post, Rodriguez shared a cryptic photo of a nuclear explosion with the caption, “Things go south, mushroom clouds. No one’s left around. Money bought, power talked, but no one’s listening now. And empires claimed, up in flames, burnt to the ground. History repeats, video reels going round and round.”
The post, however, was deleted. But before it was erased, a netizen named @isabellefajardo6 then urged the actor to tell the “whole truth.”
“Why not tell the whole truth now? Why wait?” asked the netizen.
Rodriguez responded, “Gag order, Ask THEM why.”
Meanwhile, another netizen claimed that Abellana still loved him. But his response only led fans baffled.
“Not true. And you all know a tiny fraction of an entire story. But one day the whole TRUTH will prevail!” commented the actor.
Another one was disappointed with them, as if the couple was trying to garner attention by publicizing their marital problems.
“True. It’s like they’re just seeking attention. I used to like tom but now I’m disappointed. They have their platforms to clear whatever issues they have. They can’t just say it’s private bcoz they made it public in the first place,” stated the netizen.
Rodriguez reiterated that he was given a gag order, preventing him from speaking the “truth.”
“It’s not just private. There’s a GAG ORDER ON ME! I can’t speak my truth,” he explained.
After three months in marriage, speculations about Abellana and Rodriguez’s breakup arose in January. It was believed that the reason for the split was because the latter had a one-night stand.
In the meantime, Abellana remains mum about the issue.
