Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, on Friday, July 1, had no words to describe how they are feeling now that they will be alongside each other in the upcoming Star Magic 30: Beyond the Stars in the United States.
In the virtual press launch of the tour, Pangilinan revealed that they are excited since this is their first time going on tour with the Kapamilya talent arm, let alone Mariano’s first-ever visit to the US.
“Para sa akin po, kasi first time kong mag-abroad for a show with ABS-CBN, and of course, with Belle. Actually, first-time ni Belle mag-US, ever,” he said.
Their performance also means saying “thank you” to their He’s into Her international fans.
“So the fact that we get to spend it here with you guys, the fact that we’ll see our oversea supporters for the first time. Kasi I’m sure that we have seen you a lot, pero through social media lang, digitally. We felt your support kahit hindi namin kayo nakikita physically. Ito yung way nang pagpapasalamat sa inyo sa lahat ng overwhelming support niyo sa amin.”
He also promised, “Hindi kami pababayaan ng Star Magic. They will let us go through the necessary rehearsals, workshops, and anything needed so that we can come fully prepared for the show. We promise you that we will give 101%, all of us here, just for you guys.”
His co-star added, “It’s my first time going to the US and it’s something I’m really looking forward to after being stuck for almost four years and not being able to travel abroad. Parang sobrang worth it kasi I get to spend this journey with my Star Magic family.”
Meanwhile, Pangilinan shared the activities he plans to do with Mariano.
“Well, I’ve been to New York a couple of times na. So I want to bring her to Times Square, actually. Kasi grabe, ang daming makikita doon na different cultures, different restaurants, different shops.”
They also want to try street foods and, if they have the time, watch a play.
According to Mariano, a series she’s been watching piqued her interest to try for herself the food carts scattered across cities they will be visiting.
“Well, for me naman talaga honestly, I want to go to all cities there since I’ve never been nga to the US.
“It’s something I really want to try, yung ma-try ko ang food cart sa gilid kasi I’m watching a show na mayroong ganoon. Kaya ‘di ba? At least magagawa ko iyon.”
The Star Magic 30: Beyond the Stars will also feature Kim Chiu, Zanjoe Marudo, Andrea Brillantes, Carlo Aquino, Maymay Entrata, Charlie Dizon, Edward Barber, Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada, Maris Racal, and Gigi De Lana.
The event will begin on July 23 at the Newport Performing Arts Center before going to the Kings Theater, Warfield Theater, and Saban Theatre on August 6, 12, and 14, respectively.
