Heart Evangelista’s mother, Cecile Ongpauco opens up about the rumored breakup of her daughter to husband, Sen. Chiz Escudero.
Recently, rumors spread that Evangelista and Escudero have already called it quits after the actress removed her married name, “Escudero” on her Instagram.
In a report by Interaksyon on September 8, Cecile Ongpauco shared that she respects the privacy of the two and simply prays for them.
“It’s their private life so I am just praying for them. I know they will be okay.”
She then expressed her approval of Escudero’s personality.
“I’ve known Chiz to be a mature and grounded person that’s why I am happy for my daughter.”
When asked if she knew about the struggles of her daughter and Escudero, Ongpauco simply said, “I have not spoken to anybody.”
Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero got married in Balesin in 2015. The two have yet to release any statement regarding their rumored breakup.
Meanwhile, Evangelista shared an update through her YouTube vlog dated September 2 that she is going through a rough patch.
Sen. Escudero seemed to remain mum on the issue as his latest post on Instagram was work-related.
