Nadiriwang ngayon ang buong LGBTQIA+ community dahil sa pagiging nominated ni Jervi Lee o mas kilalang Kaladkaren sa kauna-unahang Summer MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) sa kategoryang Best Supporting Actress.
Kanina lang hapon ay inilabas na ang mga official nominees kung saan makakalaban pa ni Kaladkaren sa kategorya ang co-actor niyang si Maris Racal sa ‘Here COmes The Groom’ at si Anna Abad mula sa kalahok na ‘Love You Long Time.’
Sa interview niya kani-kanina lang sa video na inilabas ni MJ Felipe, “It only goes to show, there is diversity, that there’s inclusion, equity in Philippine Cinema. You know, this nomination is a victory for the whole LGBTQIA+ community, the people like me, are nominated for the gender identity that they belong to. Isang patunay din that art has no gender. So, maraming-maraming salamat po sa MMFF sa paniniwala po sa kakayahan ng mga taong katulad ko, it means so much.”
