On April 13, actor Epy Quizon thanked GMA Network for their patience in mounting ‘Voltes V Legacy’.
At the pocket interview for Voltes V: Legacy, which LionhearTV covered, Quizon highlighted how the Kapuso Network invested in the live-action adaptation of ‘Voltes V’. The actor expressed, “Ako, salamat sa–alam naman natin na malaking budget ‘yung lumabas dito no, kaya nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa GMA at naging patient sila, para tutukan talaga nila all the minute details, to make it perfect…Ito talagang tumaya ‘yung GMA and I know for a fact, alam ko ‘yung proseso, na pinagdaanan ng production ng Voltes V, at alam kong malaki ang budget na kasama para gumawa ng ganitong series. And thank you for being patient sa GMA talaga hindi nila pinabayaan yung project.”
He then revealed that he always wanted to portray Zuhl.
“Actually, when they told me about Voltes V, ang unang pumasok sa isip ko ay sana ako si Zuhl. That was really a role that I really want to portray because of the unique character no? Basically, he’s the cunning, siya ‘yung smarts, he’s a scientist, general siya pero siya ‘yung pinaka-matalino, pero scheming also.”
Voltes V: Legacy stars Miguel Tanfelix, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, Raphael Landicho, and Ysabel Ortega. The series also features a star-studded cast with Martin del Rosario, Liezel Lopez, Carlo Gonzales, Gabby Eigenmann, Neil Ryan Sese, Albert Martinez, Christian Vasquez, Carla Abellana, Dennis Trillo, Quizon, and many more.
The Kapuso sci-fi adaptation, directed by Mark Reyes, will air soon on GMA Network.
They also have an upcoming cinema sneak-peak event (Voltes V Legacy: The Cinematic Experience) showing the first three weeks of the series before its much-awaited premiere on primetime TV in May, from April 19 to 25, in SM Cinemas Nationwide.
