On July 7, actress-businesswoman Ara Mina felt overwhelmed and happy with the praises from Net25 President Wilma Galvante and the press for her first talk show.
During the media conference for ‘Magandang Araw’ at the Net25 Compound in Quezon City, Ara Mina got emotional as Galvante and the press commended her hard work throughout the years.
‘Wala overwhelmed, overwhelmed kasi natutuwa ako nandito kayo eh.”
She admitted that she missed seeing media people in person after the pandemic.
“Hindi naiiyak ako kasi noong sinabi mo na nami-miss ninyo ‘yung dati, ‘yung ganito. Kaya ang sabi ko kailangan magkaroon tayo ng media launch hindi ‘yung parang sa TV lang. Nakaka-miss din ‘yung parang dati na naging part kayo ng career ko for thirty years ng buhay ko.”
She then noted the changing landscape of the Philippine entertainment industry, citing how the press remained the lifeline of new artists.
“Aminin na natin nagbago ang landscape ng entertainment, sobrang laking pagbabago, so ito, ito talaga ‘yung entertainment kayo ang tumutulong sa mga artista, kayo ang mga lifeline ng mga shows, ng mga artista bakit nandiyan pa rin sila.”
As for Galvante, she highlighted Ara Mina’s insights, rich experience, and personality which made her the perfect host for ‘Magandang Araw.’
“Bakit naisipan bigyan siya ng solo show? Ano lang– kapag jinudge mo ang personality ng isang artist makikita mo ‘yung variety of formats na pwede mong ipagawa. So hindi ibig sabihin artista siya, puro drama siya, puro sitcom, puro serye siya.
“Tapos kapag kinausap mo naman si Ara, makikita mo ang dami niyang gustong gawin, ang dami niyang pinag-iisipan, ang dami niyang negosyo, very rich naman ‘yung kaniyang experience at ‘yung kaniyang life to lend itself to a lifestyle show.”
Galvante also attested to Ara Mina’s professionalism and patience in leading the upcoming Net25 program.
“Hindi madali gawin, kasi admittedly, this is a first for her, pero with her professionalism and her patience na ayusin natin to ulit, gawin natin ulit, hindi napapagod si Ara, so with Ara, it’s always everyday Magandang Araw.”
Ara Mina hosts the lifestyle program ‘Magandang Araw’ which starts airing on Net25 on July 15, Saturday at 3 PM.
