Kapatid primetime newscast, ‘Frontline Pilipinas’, has experienced an upward ratings trajectory since the introduction of its newest anchor, Jiggy Manicad.

According to the most recent ratings report from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ displayed a rising rating trend at the beginning of the week.

On Monday, January 8, the TV5 newscast achieved a rating of 4.1 percent, securing the 12th position on the overall ratings chart.

Continuing into Tuesday, January 9, ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ maintained its 4.1 percent ratings but slipped one notch to the 13th position on the leaderboard.

Wednesday, January 10, saw the newscast maintaining its 4.1 percent rating but ascending two spots to the 11th position on the chart.

On Thursday, January 11, the revitalized newscast recorded a slight increase of 0.1 percent, reaching a 4.2 percent rating and securing the 12th position among other TV programs on the overall ratings board.

Before the inclusion of Manicad as an anchor, the newscast typically averaged below 4 percent in ratings.

On Monday, January 1, ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ registered a rating of 3.3 percent, followed by an improved rating of 3.9 percent on Tuesday, January 2.

Midweek on Wednesday, January 3, ‘Frontline Pilipinas’ experienced another improvement, reaching a 4.1 percent rating.

However, on Thursday, January 4, it experienced a slight decline of 0.3 percent, landing at a 3.8 percent rating. The week concluded on Friday, January 5, with the same rating of 3.8 percent.

Did Jiggy Manicad truly contribute to the surge in the newscast’s ratings, and can this positive trend be sustained, or is there a possibility of reverting to its previous rating average?
