On January 25, Scrubb member Ball highlighted the warm welcome from Filipino fans and their recent collaboration with the Pinoy band Ben&Ben.
At the media event for Scrubb Live in Manila, which LionhearTV covered, Ball appreciated the warm reception from Filipino fans, especially during their collaboration with Ben&Ben and working on the soundtrack of the 2gether: The Series.
Scrubb and Ben&Ben teamed up for a jam performing the Thai duo’s hit song, “ทุกอย่าง (Everything)” in 2020.
He also revealed how excited the Filipino fans are with the concert, with some even reaching out to them personally on social media, asking about the details of their upcoming concert.
He also remarked how happy they were performing for the Filipino fans for the first time.
Aside from their excitement, Ball also praised the Filipino band Ben&Ben, especially their talent as musicians.
Ball noted they don’t have a specific Filipino band they want to collaborate with since they’re currently focusing on the concert. However, they wanted to familiarize themselves with the Pinoy musicians they would meet during the concert and hoped they could collaborate with them in the future.
Ball then cited the similarities of the vibe of Original Pinoy Music to Thai Music, citing how they could relate to Filipino songs.
He also showered Filipino singers’ skill and vocal prowess with high praises.
Scrubb is a prolific music act, composed of Thawatpon Wongboonsiri (Muey) and Torpong Chantabubpha (Ball), that produced six studio albums throughout their career and has sold out several shows in Bangkok and key cities across Asia.
As for their concert event, Prolific actor-rapper Elijah Canlas and chart-topping singer-songwriter TONEEJAY will be joining the Thai band on February 10, 2024, at the 123 Block in Mandaluyong City, from 6 p.m. onwards.
Scrubb’s performances will include songs from the official soundtrack of 2gether: The Series, which stars global BL icons Vachirawit Chivaaree (Bright) and Metawin Opas-iamkajorn (Win).
