Kapamilya star Anji Salvacion revealed on March 13 that 2023 was the toughest year she has ever faced. She is now determined to focus on self-acceptance in 2024.
“Last year was not my best year in every year that I’ve been in this life,” Salvacion admitted at the Star Magic Spotlight press conference at Limbaga 77, Quezon City.
She faced several obstacles last year, including fatigue and stress, which impacted her career. It affected her health, causing her to miss a few episodes of ‘Tabing Ilog: The Musical.’
She received heavy criticism for her performance as Kate Alcantara in the Kapamilya series ‘Linlang’.
Reflecting on her struggles, she emphasized the importance of not allowing negative influences to dictate her self-worth.
“Huwag niyong hayaan na ‘yung noises, ma-absorb mo into your head,” she advised.
Despite the challenges she faced, Salvacion sees her experiences as a testament to her resilience and a call to inspire others.
“Siguro ‘yun din ang parang calling sa akin ni God to be an instrument din, to inspire others, coz’ if nakayanan ko, for sure makakayanan nila,” she remarked.
The singer emphasized the importance of self-acceptance in navigating life’s ups and downs.
“Kasi if you accept yourself more, you appreciate, love your flaws, you know, these noises will affect you no more,” she stressed.
Looking ahead to 2024, Salvacion expressed her desire for positivity and good vibes.
“Coz’ you will not allow unnecessary problems, unnecessary stress into your life,” she explained. “Good vibes lang tayo this 2024, and everybody deserve good vibes and positivity, right?”
Her experiences in 2023 inspired her latest EP, ‘Grit,’ which embodies the resilience and perseverance she gained.
“Grit” is now available on all music streaming platforms.
