Angkasangga Partylist first nominee George Royeca has surrendered his driver’s license to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) after the government agency imposed a 90-suspension on his license, as penalty following a recent incident in Cainta involving Angkas riders. 
In a statement, Royeca said, “As a leader aspiring for public office, I am held to a higher standard. I take full responsibility for our actions because I owe it to our riders, passengers, and the public who have supported us from day one. I would rather face suspension myself than see our riders lose their ability to provide for their families.”
Royeca and the Angkasangga Partylist also reiterated their cooperation and respect to the ruling that would be imposed by the LTO.
For this, netizens commended him for taking responsibility to protect the livelihood of his riders.
One netizen said, “‘Di ba dapat nga gayahin siya dahil he takes full responsibility for his actions? ‘Di man siya directly gumawa ng violations…”
Another added, “Salute Sir George Roeyca. Isa kang patunay na may dignidad sa mga tao mo… Masakit na katotohanan na kailangan ma-revoke ang lisensya mo… Sana gabayan ka ng Panginoon at ingatan sa araw-araw at bigyan lagi ng lakas ng pangangatawan.”
