After a brief break from the spotlight to embrace motherhood, Maja Salvador is making a joyful comeback to the small screen with Season 5 of TV5’s hit game show ‘Emojination’—her first hosting gig since giving birth to her daughter, Maria Reanna.

In a recent media conference, Maja opened up about balancing work and motherhood: “Alam ng TV5 na kakapanganak ko lang at gusto ko munang alagaan si Maria. Pero dahil masaya ang energy ng Emojination at maikli lang ang working hours, naisip kong perfect itong project for my return.”
Maja tapes for eight hours a day and sometimes even brings her daughter to the studio. “Na-miss ko magtrabaho, pero mas prayoridad ko pa rin si Maria,” she shared.
Joining her this season are co-hosts Chad Kinis, ‘Last One Laughing’ Season 1 grand winner, and Chamy Aguedan, who returns with his trademark energy. Together, the trio promises more laughs, surprises, and heartwarming moments than ever before.
“Hindi ko alam kung paano ko sila sasabayan,” Maja laughed. “Yung editor namin hirap na kasi lampas-lampas na kami sa oras sa kakadaldal!”
Despite her busy schedule as an actress, wife, mother, and talent manager of Crown Artist Management, Maja said she has no complaints: “Ginusto ko ‘to. Pag pagod na, bawal magreklamo. Ang pagiging ina, walang makakapalit doon.”
As for what she enjoys more—hosting or acting—Maja said hosting is her current favorite: “Challenging siya kasi kailangan mong maka-relate sa guests. At marami akong natututunan sa kanila. Acting is still close to my heart, pero iba rin ‘yung saya ng hosting.”
She hopes ‘Emojination’ continues to spotlight deserving participants like OFWs and teachers, acknowledging the difficulty of their roles in society.
TV5 CEO Guido R. Zaballero expressed delight over Maja’s return: “Her energy lights up every show she’s in. We’re excited to have her back.”
APT Entertainment CEO Direk Mike Tuviera added that Season 5 brings something “new and exciting,” while Cignal FVP Sienna G. Olaso noted the show is “more than fun—it’s an experience.”
Catch the premiere of ‘Emojination’ Season 5 on May 17, Saturday, 5:30 PM on TV5, with a same-day catch-up at 8:00 PM on BuKo Channel.
