Kim Rodriguez, known for her radiant charm and heartfelt performances, has found a new stage beyond television and film—the community.
Recently, the actress shone off-screen through her active participation in AWESAM Smile Dental Clinic’s outreach program, where she brought not just visibility but genuine compassion to underserved communities.

For Kim, joining AWESAM Smile’s missions has become more than just an appearance—it’s a commitment.
“Dati pa po akong kinukuha ni Doc Sam sa mga dental missions niya,” Kim shared warmly. “Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam… kapag nakatulong kayo, tapos nakita niyo mga ngiti kagaya nung mga bata kanina… nakakatuwa talaga.”
During the recent dental mission in Marikina, she spent the day assisting children and families, distributing supplies, and offering encouragement. “Sobrang saya kasi makikita mo sa mga ngiti nila… parang nakakatanggal ng pagod,” she reflected.
Her own dental journey is refreshingly candid. “Noong bata ako, hindi talaga ako ma-toothbrush,” she admitted with a laugh. “Nag-ayos lang ako noong nagka-crush ako! So kailangan maganda ako, maganda ng ngipin ko.”
That lighthearted turning point has since grown into a personal commitment to oral hygiene. She now uses her platform to raise awareness about safe dental practices, even warning against viral but unsafe fads like DIY braces. “Hindi siya advisable talaga… mas lalo siyang nadadamage. Kailangan talaga ng konsulta sa doctor!”
Kim also revealed she once considered getting veneers to achieve a “celebrity smile.” But Dr. Sam Bernardo, founder of AWESAM Smile, had other plans. “Sabi niya, ‘hindi, wag na!’ Pinapagalitan niya ako!” Kim laughed. “Aalagaan na lang natin ‘yan.”
Founded by Dr. Samantha Bernardo, AWESAM Smile Dental Clinic is more than just a practice—it’s a movement. With multiple branches across Metro Manila and Rizal, the clinic provides everything from general dentistry to cosmetic procedures, but always with accessibility and community service in mind.
Their outreach initiative, ‘Ngiti Mo, Sagot Ko’, has reached thousands of children, providing free fluoride treatments, cleanings, and extractions. For Dr. Bernardo, the mission is clear: “Dental health affects many aspects of life—confidence, speech, even sleep. It’s more than just having a beautiful smile.”
With Kim Rodriguez as their brand ambassador, AWESAM Smile continues to inspire Filipinos to care for their oral health—with Kim’s own dazzling smile as living proof.
Even with her advocacy work, Kim’s showbiz career is buzzing. She stars in the upcoming sitcom ‘Wais at Eng-Eng’, airing online this September alongside John Estrada, Rowell Santiago, and Yna de Belen. “Every episode po, iba-iba yung guests namin,” she teased.
Her film ‘How to Get Away From My Toxic Family’, with Zanjoe Marudo, recently premiered, and she’s currently filming another project with Ai-Ai delas Alas. “Ngayon lang naging busy talaga!” Kim beamed.
Off-screen, she is also pursuing her passion for food. Having completed a culinary course at CCA, she is now perfecting her pizza and pasta recipes. “Ngayong taon po, sana matapos,” she said, determined to fulfill a promise to her parents. Together with a classmate, she dreams of opening an Italian restaurant: “Gusto niya mga wine, pizza… Italian!”
From a child who once admitted she didn’t brush regularly, to a radiant advocate for dental health, Kim Rodriguez’s story is one of growth, grit, and grace. Whether she’s making audiences laugh, moving them with her acting, or brightening a child’s day at a dental mission, Kim proves that beauty, confidence, and kindness all begin with a smile.
And with AWESAM Smile Dental Clinic by her side, she’s showing Filipinos everywhere that a healthy smile isn’t just a gift—it’s a legacy worth sharing.
