Kapuso star Heart Evangelista remains backed by her loyal fan base and brand partners, despite rumors that she was dropped by some of her endorsements.

GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes clarified that there is no truth to reports alleging that companies had cut ties with Evangelista. Sparkle GMA Artist Center likewise issued a statement on Sept. 26, debunking the viral article.
“FAKE NEWS ALERT! THIS IS NOT TRUE! Don’t be fooled by fake news! Always be vigilant when reading articles online,” Sparkle wrote on Instagram.
The rumors surfaced after Evangelista’s husband, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, was linked to the controversial flood-control projects under investigation. Critics began to question Evangelista’s high-profile lifestyle as a global fashion figure married to a public servant.
Evangelista, however, clarified that she and Escudero have a pre-nuptial agreement, ensuring complete separation of assets—a contract she noted was arranged by the late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago, whom she regarded as a second mother.
On social media, the actress and fashion icon emphasized her independence and decades-long career: “The sad reality at this point, it’s very hurtful that as an independent woman like myself, I am so hardworking and I have pride in what I do. I’m not the type of wife na nakatanga lang ako sa bahay… I work. I refuse to just be a useless wife at home. I will continue to work.”
Evangelista also explained her decision to skip the Milan and Paris Fashion Week this season, apologizing to fans who had anticipated her usual presence on the global runway.
“I don’t think it’s the right time for anyone, especially from our country, to be going to Fashion Week because I think we need to be here… open our eyes, empathize, and really see what’s going on, and what we can do,” she said.
Known as a regular fixture at international fashion shows, Evangelista assured her supporters that this is not a permanent hiatus, hinting at a possible return “maybe next season.”
