Kapuso actor Rocco Nacino did not mince words in calling out controversial government contractor Sarah Discaya after her viral finger-heart gesture at the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Saturday, September 27.

Discaya, along with her husband Curlee, submitted requirements for their application under the Witness Protection Program (WPP) in connection with their disclosures on anomalous flood control projects. While the program ensures protection and security, DOJ clarified that inclusion in WPP does not automatically make them “state witnesses.”
What drew ire online was Sarah’s finger-heart sign to members of the media after filing their papers. She even quipped, “Gandahan n’yo ‘yong memes ko,” a remark that critics said trivialized the gravity of the corruption scandal.
Nacino, reacting through the comments section of a GMA News report, blasted Discaya for her display.
“Walang konsensya. Itim ng ugali, kasing itim ng nunal niya,” the actor wrote, earning nods from netizens who echoed his sentiment.
Kapuso comedienne Pokwang also joined the online criticism, sharing a screenshot of Discaya’s finger-heart gesture on her Instagram Story. She edited the photo with a doodle of feces and flies over the gesture, captioning: “Gandahan daw ang memes??????? Hahahhaahaha.”
Meanwhile, DOJ Spokesperson Mico Clavano said Discaya’s actions may affect their WPP application.
“It is a sign of insincerity and complacency. We urge all persons of interest in this case to behave accordingly,” Clavano told reporters.
As of writing, the Discayas have yet to issue any statement in response to the criticisms.
