Actor Aljur Abrenica has chosen to stay private for now when asked about his rumored children with girlfriend AJ Raval, following recent remarks by AJ’s father, veteran action star Jeric Raval, who claimed he already has two grandchildren from the couple.
During a media interview on October 13 for Luxus Estetica Furniture, where he was introduced as its newest brand ambassador, Aljur politely declined to give details, saying he is not yet ready to discuss the matter publicly.
“Pasensya na, I cannot talk about it personally ‘coz I’m not yet comfortable and yeah, para sa akin ‘wag muna,” Aljur said. “Nakikita ko, ‘wag muna (aminin), pero everything naman will be revealed in time,” he added.
Jeric Raval previously mentioned during the ‘Mamay: A Journey to Greatness’ victory dinner that he has two grandchildren—a boy and a girl—from AJ and Aljur, a statement that surprised many, including the actor himself.
Asked how he felt about Jeric’s earlier revelation, Aljur showed understanding and respect for his partner’s father.
“Alam ninyo kasi, tatay din ‘yun. Si Tatay Jeric, malaki ang respeto ko sa kanya,” he said. “Minsan kasi ‘tong mga tatay na ‘to, mas matanda sa atin, they see things that we don’t see. Then eventually you’ll realize, ‘Ah, ganu’n pala.’ So that’s how I see it,” the actor added.
According to a close source, Aljur and AJ are currently living a quiet and happy life together with their children. AJ reportedly focuses on taking care of the kids while Aljur juggles work on FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, where he tapes three times a week.
“Hindi nag-aaway sina Aljur at AJ, nagtutulungan sila. Pag walang taping si Aljur at nakapahinga na, nilalaro niya ‘yung mga anak nila,” the source shared.
The insider also revealed that the actor has been working tirelessly, accepting as many legitimate projects as he can to support both his children with AJ and his two sons with ex-wife Kylie Padilla — Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo.
“Sobrang sipag niya ngayon at hindi namimili ng trabaho, basta legit. Nagbibigay pa rin siya para sa mga anak niya kay Kylie,” the source said.
In a past interview, Aljur reflected on his relationship with AJ, describing it as imperfect but genuine: “Wala namang perpekto — that’s what I love about it. Sa biyahe namin ni AJ, what I’m proud and happy to say is walang bumitaw. It’s not smooth, pero ‘yung learnings and journey, masaya talaga,” he said.
