The finale week of Viva One’s hit digital series ‘Seducing Drake Palma’ proved to be more than just an ending—it became a celebration of new friendships, career breakthroughs, and the birth of a fast-rising loveteam.

At the thanksgiving mediacon and finale screening held Monday, September 29, lead stars Rabin Angeles and Angela Muji shared heartfelt stories about what the series meant to them—not only professionally but also personally.
Angela revealed that while she had previously crossed paths with Rabin on Mutya, they never had scenes together, nor the chance to bond. Seducing Drake Palma became the project that allowed them to connect deeply.
“Na-discover ko po ‘yung makulit niyang side,” Angela said with a laugh. “On set, nakaka-hype ng energy. Imbes na mapagod ka, matatawa ka na lang sa kanya.”
For his part, Rabin admitted he saw Angela’s nurturing side while working together.
“Talagang ‘pag nasa set kami, gusto niya sabay-sabay kami kumakain. May mga times na may sakit ako, ipinagbabaon niya ako ng fruits, tapos pinagdadala niya ako ng orange juice. Sobrang maalaga siya,” Rabin shared.
When asked if they saw each other as “girlfriend” or “boyfriend material,” both answered with a resounding yes. Angela praised Rabin for being equally thoughtful: “Sobrang maalaga po siya, nag-aalala lagi kung kumain na ba ako, kung safe ba ako nakauwi.”

Beyond the kilig, Angela shared a touching anecdote about her father, who remains her proudest supporter.
“Yung papa ko po, kapag nasa labas kami, kahit hindi ako kilala ng mga tao, sasabihin niya, ‘Uy, nanonood ka ba ng Seducing Drake Palma? Ito ‘yung anak ko, si Alys!’” Angela recounted.
“Ako mismo, nahihiya ako, pero na-realize ko ganoon siya ka-proud. Sobrang saya ko po na may napapatunayan na po ako kahit papaano sa ilang years na pinaghirapan ko po.”
Angela added that she promises to stay grounded despite newfound fame: “Hindi ko po ine-expect na may magbabago pa sa akin kasi laging sinasabi sa akin na keep my feet on the ground.”
Since its June premiere, ‘Seducing Drake Palma’ consistently stayed in Viva One’s Top 10 Most Watched Series, cementing the Rabin-Angela tandem—nicknamed RabGel—as one of 2025’s breakout loveteams. Fans praised their natural chemistry, making each episode a weekly trending topic and rapidly expanding their following.
Viva executives credited the strong reception to the relatability of Drake and Alys’ complicated but heartfelt love story, brought to life by the duo’s authentic performances.
As ‘Seducing Drake Palma’ ended with both tears and cheers from fans at Gateway Mall’s finale screening, Rabin and Angela expressed gratitude to Viva One, their co-stars, and the loyal supporters who fueled their journey.
“Masakit at masaya na matapos ang serye, pero sobra kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng kumapit, kinilig, at sumama sa kwento nina Drake at Alys,” they said in unison.
With their tandem’s strong momentum, Viva confirmed that the pair is already set to headline another project—this time a film adaptation of the Korean hit ‘A Werewolf Boy’.
