Actress Belle Mariano has entered the beauty business with the launch of Talee, a makeup line she built together with her 19-year-old sister Daniela Mariano.
The brand is named after their youngest sibling, Natalia.
During the launch event held at Medusa in BGC on November 16, Belle shared that creating their own makeup line had long been a shared dream.
“I’m so happy that this finally happened… Daniela and I have been working so much dito sa product na ’to and our team. Dream namin ’to dalawa ni Daniela. And we’re doing it na,” Belle said.
According to Belle, the entire concept originated from Daniela, who surprised their family by presenting a full product pitch.
“Pinitch niya talaga sa amin ’to… she even made the deck. I didn’t expect that at her age she’d present something this great,” Belle said. She immediately agreed to collaborate, telling her sister, “Daniela, let’s work on it. Let’s make this both our project.”
Daniela was hands-on in developing the products, from ingredients to textures and shade testing. Even while Belle was on set, Daniela would send samples for her to try.
Talee debuts with two multi-use products — the Cheek Mud and the Lip & Cheek Glaze Stain — each available in five inclusive shades intended to suit various skin tones.
Belle said the goal was to create makeup that feels familiar and easy to use. “Gusto namin na the makeup feels like your sister, something you can bring anywhere you go,” she shared.
The sisters also acknowledged the learning curve of launching a business, noting that they are open to feedback as they continue improving the line.
“Ang dami ko pang matututunan. I know I won’t get all good reviews, but I’ll accept feedback and improve along the way,” Belle said. (With reports from Aldrine Benitez)
