The iconic youth-oriented discussion program Y Speak is officially making a comeback, with its revival slated for the first quarter of 2026.
The announcement was confirmed by Fr. Tito Caluag, who shared details of the long-awaited return in a social media post.

“In 2004, YSpeak, a youth-oriented show with a semi-debate format, aired for the first time over ABS-CBN Channel 2. After one season it moved to ABS-CBN’s Studio 23. It aired for four seasons and became an iconic show for the youth of that generation,” Caluag wrote.
He added that plans to revive the program have been discussed for nearly two decades. “Over the past two decades there were plans and attempts to revive the show. This 2026 this long-standing ‘dream’ will finally become a reality by the end of the first quarter of this year,” he said.
Along with the announcement, Caluag also introduced the initial lineup of the show’s new hosts, collectively referred to as the next generation of “YSpeakers.”
“Meet the four new YSpeakers – with the joining of two young ladies being worked out – Elijah Canlas, KD Estrada, River Joseph, and Ralph de Leon,” he shared.

Originally launched on ABS-CBN Channel 2 before moving to Studio 23, Y Speak was positioned as a youth-focused alternative to debate-driven programs of its time, blending informed discussion with perspectives relevant to young Filipinos. The show was known not only for its topical conversations but also for shaping future leaders and thinkers.
Former hosts included Ryan Agoncillo and Bianca Gonzalez, while personalities such as Patricia Evangelista and Bam Aquino also appeared on the program early in their careers.
The show was canceled in late 2010, a move that disappointed many viewers who regarded it as one of the few intellectually stimulating programs on local television at the time.
