Newlyweds Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles shared a candid and lighthearted story about their first night as husband and wife, revealing that they simply ended the evening by resting after their wedding celebration.

The couple spoke to members of the entertainment press, including LionhearTV, during an intimate mediacon on March 19 for their upcoming Viva Films project ‘Wonderful Nightmare’.
When asked about their first night and first day as a married couple following their beach wedding in Bohol, Kim responded with a laugh.
“First night, lasing kaming lahat! Ha-hahahaha! Well, open naman kami ni Je na we’ve been living in together since pandemic, accidentally. First night, medyo tipsy, tapos paghiga namin…mas na-reminisce na lang namin kung ano yung nangyari kasi it was very magical because the theme is magical,” she said.
Kim went on to describe the unique elements of their wedding, which carried a fantasy-inspired theme.
“It’s a mermaid-themed wedding. Kahit the sky, kumbaga, parang the sky, it turned pink, orange, and purple. Tapos yung cloud, legit na nag-shape siya into a mermaid. Medyo nawiwindang kami sa parts na ganoon so we were just talking about it. That was basically our first night. Pero nag-usap lang kami ng five minutes. After nu’n, tulog na!” she added.
The actress also explained why they chose March 1 as their wedding date, revealing that it coincided with a special milestone for her husband.
“The day after kasi, the reason why March 1 yung wedding, because I decided na yung after party, salubong ng birthday niya (Jerald). Kasi hindi pa nagbi-birthday party si Je ever in his life. It’s also the first time na nag-birthday party siya. First time na nag-birthday party siya na both his parents were present. Basically, after the wedding, it was moments with people close to us,” Kim shared.
Jerald, for his part, recalled how the weather initially posed a concern but ultimately cooperated on their special day.
“Ang wish ko lang naman, masaya yung bride ko, so natupad naman yon. Even the weather, parang naki-cooperate. Ang nangyari, umulan ng tanghali. Sakto si Kuya Kim (Atienza) nandoon. Ninong namin si Kuya Kim. Sabi ni Kuya Kim, on the spot, ‘Alam mo na yung ulan na yan, kapag ganyan ang ulan, one hour lang ‘yan.’ True enough, one hour lang yung ulan,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kim also addressed the rescheduling of their film ‘Wonderful Nightmare’, which was originally slated for release on February 26 but was moved to April 4.
“It’s more of management’s decision. Ang Viva kasi, with me and Je, especially with me kasi teenager pa lang ako, I started with Viva, I was 18, 19, on and off ako, kasi nag-school pa ako nu’ng time na yon. Family talaga ang trato nila. Alam din kasi nila na this moment of our lives is once in a lifetime also. I think, in a way, they gave us a chance to, you know, yung bridal area, mga groom area. What’s best for us, yun ang laging iniisip ni Viva. Thank you so much Ninong Boss Vic (del Rosario),” she explained.
The film’s release was moved to give way to the couple’s wedding preparations and celebration, which took place on March 1 at a resort in Bohol.
‘Wonderful Nightmare’, the Philippine adaptation of a popular South Korean film, is now set to premiere in cinemas on April 4.
