Ian de Leon has responded to the allegations made by his adoptive sister, Lotlot de Leon, amid the ongoing dispute surrounding the legacy and estate of their late mother, National Artist and Superstar Nora Aunor.

In a series of posts shared on Facebook, Ian addressed several issues raised by Lotlot, including the establishment of a foundation bearing Nora Aunor’s name and his decision to discuss family matters during his recent guest appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.’
Ian claimed that concerns over legal documentation prompted him to distance himself from plans involving the foundation.
“After Mom died, nagmadali kayo magtayo ng foundation kasi baka maunahan ng iba? You think SEC will approve random people to put up a foundation using Mom’s name?” he wrote.
According to Ian, he had advised his siblings to settle legal matters first before proceeding with any projects related to Nora Aunor’s legacy.
“That time, I said I’m not ready to commit dahil gusto kong ayusin muna nila yung legal papers niyan. I know the plans and my suggestion to them is that fix the legalities first before launching it,” he said.
The actor also revealed that he issued a previous statement to protect his family from potential legal complications after learning that donations were allegedly being solicited for the foundation.
Ian further alleged that he was once invited to a meeting where he felt pressured to sign documents without being fully informed beforehand.
“Enough with the lies? You stop. You stop telling lies especially to my dad,” Ian said in one of his posts.
Despite the tension, Ian maintained that he continues to regard Lotlot as his sister.
“I still call you Ate,” he wrote, while expressing confusion over claims that he was being portrayed as selfish in matters concerning their mother’s estate.
The exchange came after Lotlot became emotional during the story conference of the upcoming film ’40 Days,’ where she addressed Ian’s statements from his television interview and accused him of making false claims regarding discussions about the one-person corporation (OPC) he established to manage Nora Aunor’s legacy.
As of writing, Lotlot de Leon and the other members of the family have yet to issue a response to Ian’s latest statements.
