Content creator and author Mika Salamanca joined Project PEARLS and its partner GoodZone in celebrating a major milestone in their nutrition program, as 61 children officially moved out of the malnutrition category just two months after the initiative began.
The achievement was marked during the organization’s 2nd Weigh-In Party, where children celebrated their progress through activities for Nutrition Month, including wearing colorful handmade hats, sharing a warm meal, and recognizing their health milestones.
According to Project PEARLS, the results reflect the impact of sustained nutrition interventions and community support.
“Together with GoodZone, our partner for this mission, we celebrated our 2nd Weigh-In Party with Mika Salamanca, and the results speak for themselves. 61 out of 200 children are now free from malnutrition, just two months into the program.”
The organization emphasized that its work extends beyond one-time feeding activities by providing consistent care for children and their families.
“We continue to walk alongside children and families who need it most, not just through a single feeding, but through consistent, hands-on care that leads to real, lasting change.”
Project PEARLS also highlighted Mika’s participation during the event, where she spent time with the children by reading stories and donating copies of books that she personally authored.
“We are glad that Mika Salamanca also joined the fun, warming hearts by reading to the children and donating books she authored herself.”
The nonprofit expressed its gratitude to GoodZone and Mika for helping make the celebration meaningful.
