- GMA prepares for this year’s annual Kapuso New Year Countdown
- Big stars and performers will gather to welcome 2019
- The event will happen on December 31 from 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM
GMA will be welcoming the New Year with a bang and loads of their most popular artists. They will be gathering together with their die hard fans during the annual Kapuso New Year Countdown.
The event will be hosted by Kris Bernal, Andrea Torres, Betong Sumaya, Joyce Pring, Arra San Agustin, and Alden Richards.
Performers will also work their magic to welcome the new year with a cheer. These performers include Christian Bautista, Julie Anne San Jose, Mark Bautista, Glaiza de Castro, Yasmien Kurdi, Katrina Halili, Rocco Nacino, Derrick Monasterio, Ken Chan, Sanya Lopez, Kyline Alcantara, Thea Tolentino, and the comedy-duo Super Tekla and Donita Nose.
Also joining for the first time in this annual bash are The Clash Champion Golden Cañedo; The Clash finalists Jong Madaliday, Garrett Bolden, and Josh Adornado; One Up; and former The Clash contestants Kyryll Ugdiman, Anthony Rosaldo, Mika Gorospe, Esterlina Olmedo, Melbelline Caluag, Danielle Ozaraga, Muriel Lomadilla, Lyra Micolob, Psalms David, RJ Buena, JL Toreliza, and Lowell Jumalon.
The event will be grand, this also means grand restrictions. The annual Kapuso New Year Countdown will prohibit the following: alcoholic drinks, legal and illegal drugs, persons with disability (PWD), bottles, containers, weapons, lasers, selfie sticks, pointed objects, big posters or banners, any writing materials, double purpose security gadgets, flammable materials, crash helmets, studded belts or bracelets, big bags, backpacks, illegal substances, lighters, candles, fireworks, chairs, animals, professional video and audio recording equipment, professional cameras telephotos lenses, iPads, tablets, GoPro cameras, drone cameras, spy gadgets, flash photography and videography, hard drive and wired headphones, flashlights, and outside food and drinks.
Large costumes are also not allowed unless thoroughly checked by the security. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas.
