First up is the Kapuso actress/fashion icon Heart Evangelista and Senator Chiz Escudero. The public is well aware that their relationship is not accepted by Heart’s side of the family. The misapprehension between Heart’s family, particularly Heart’s mother, took time. It even got to the point where Cecile Ongpauco, mother of Heart, called the senator an opportunist. But now Heart and Chiz are happily married.
2. Heart Evangelista and Jericho Rosales
Kapuso Actress Heart Evangelista also had a long relationship with actor Jericho Rosales. According to her, she considers Jericho as her ‘greatest love’. Heart did not speak to her parents for three years over the course of the relationship. Heart’s family didn’t approve of their relationship since Jericho had a child in his teenage years. Despite their messy breakup back in 2008, the two have moved on and are now happily married to their partners.
3. Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Sam Concepcion
GMA Network’s Descendants of Sun actress Jasmine Curtis Smith had a two-year relationship with Sam Concepcion. Despite their strong relationship, rumors and speculations circulated that the reason for their breakup was because of Jasmine’s sister, Anne Curtis, who did not like Sam for her. Sam also reported that Anne had yelled and insulted him at a party because of this.

In this case, James Yap’s family had doubts about the basketball star’s relationship with the former Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino. Because of Mommy Divine’s overprotectiveness, it even came to a point that Sarah and Matteo got married in secret. Mommy Divine rushed to the venue and a shouting match erupted with Matteo allegedly punching Sarah’s bodyguard for telling Mommy Divine where they were.
