Kapuso actress Liezel Lopez confirmed the breakup rumors with her boyfriend, Kristoffer Martin after being together for over three months.
The 23-year-old actress made the confirmation as she replied to a netizen on Tiktok about Martin’s Bohol trip.
The netizen asked why Lopez did not accompany the actor on his recent Bohol trip.
The actress explained that she planned the trip to Bohol with Martin, but she did not go with him because she has already broken up with the actor prior to the trip.
“Oh yeah I know about sa Bohol. Kami nag plan ‘non eh hahaha [ayaw ko] lang sumama kasi nakipag hiwalay na ‘ko,” Lopez said.
The young actress then replied to other netizens on Tiktok, who asked about her relationship status with Martin.
“Yup nakipaghiwalay na ko.
“Yasss, I let him go na,” she said.
When asked about the reason for their breakup, Lopez simply said, “peace of mind.”
Liezel Lopez and Kristoffer Martin were a part of the Kapuso revenge series Babawiin Ko ang Lahat.
In a previous interview of the two, along with the other cast members of the series, Martin admitted that he and Lopez grew close during the taping of the series.
The two then confirmed their relationship on April 2021, when Martin made his confession in a quick and simple confirmation.
“Yes,” he said in The Boobay and Tekla Show (TBATS).
He then continued “’Yun ‘yung ginagawa ko ngayon, namin ngayon; lumalaban kami.”
After they posted series of cryptic messages on their respective Twitter accounts, breakup rumors then sparked between Lopez and Martin.
Prior to his relationship with Lopez, Martin was previously in a long-term relationship with AC Banzon. They were together for about 7 years.
Banzon explained that one of the reasons for their breakup was the actor’s third party with someone during his lock-in taping.
