Gerald Anderson was given a treat at “ASAP 20” in celebration of his tenth anniversary in showbiz.
A short video was presented last Sunday, February 21, 2016 showing his years in the industry, his blossoming career, and his growth as one of the most versatile actors in the Philippines.
The actor’s family and lot of celebrities took turns in describing the good qualities of Gerald. Co-stars like Jake Cuenca, Tirso Cruz III, Dawn Zulueta, Julia Montes, Shaina Magdayao, and Coney Reyes had nothing but praises for him.
Directors Erik Matti and Dan Villegas also noted Gerald’s ability in tackling roles and his coming of age as an actor.
But the highlight of the video was totally unexpected. It made fans scream and Gerald smile. It’s a short but sweet message from his ex-girlfriend and love team partner, Kim Chiu.
Donning her usual radiant smile, Kim gave a special message to Gerald as she said, “Happy, happy 10th year anniversary sa’yo. Congratulations sa lahat ng success mo through the years. Good luck sa lahat ng mga projects mo to come. ” (Happy, happy 10th year anniversary to you. Congratulations on all your success throughout the years. Good luck to all your projects to come.)
Kim and Gerald were housemates in the “PBB Teen Edition”, where Kim emerged as the winner. They were then paired off in several teleseryes and films. Their reel to real love team, known as KimErald, was one of the hottest in showbiz then. But in the latter part of 2010, the two had a falling off and their love team crumbled. Their break-up became a controversial topic, with Kim Chiu visibly hurt in the relationship.
