Kapamilya actress Julia Montes opened up about her long-standing relationship with actor-director Coco Martin, describing him as her “answered prayer” and sharing the lessons that have helped their love stand the test of time.

In an intimate conversation with DJ Chacha on her vlog, Julia spoke candidly about their decade-long relationship, admitting that despite Coco’s popularity and the constant attention he gets from other women, their bond remains strong.
“Always remember, in a couple, hindi lang lalaki ang pwedeng magkamali, even babae,” she said. “So, always remember, in a relationship, ‘pag mahal mo, may chances ‘yan.
Julia shared that she doesn’t believe in giving up easily when problems arise, emphasizing that forgiveness and understanding are key to lasting love.
She also expressed gratitude for Coco’s constant effort to make her feel secure — especially during moments when self-doubt crept in.
“Sinecure niya rin ako. Umabot din naman ako sa punto na bilang babae, you have your doubts. ‘Yung self-love, kulang, hindi enough. Self-worth, kulang.
Julia admitted that Coco’s natural kindness often leads to misunderstandings, especially with women who may mistake his warmth for romantic interest.

It takes two to tango.”
The actress said both of them make conscious efforts to meet halfway — Coco by being more cautious, and Julia by learning not to overthink.
Para maging fair din naman for him,” she added.
Beyond communication and trust, Julia credits prayer as the cornerstone of their relationship.
Ba’t ako susuko?” she said. “Parang siya ’yung answered prayer sa lahat ng specific na hiningi ko kay Lord, more than pa ’yung binigay.”
Julia and Coco first worked together in ‘Walang Hanggan’, which aired in 2012. Since then, the two have remained one of the most private yet enduring pairs in Philippine showbiz — a love story rooted in faith, patience, and mutual growth.
