Ayala Malls Cinemas exclusively brings ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,’ about the making of one of the cultural icon’s most enduring albums, to Philippine cinemas starting November 12

Ayala Malls Cinemas adds another prestigious and highly acclaimed film to its roster of exclusive offerings with “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” starting November 12. The character-driven drama, which chronicles the making of “Nebraska,” one of Springsteen’s most memorable albums, has garnered early Oscar buzz for Jeremy Allen White, whose portrayal of the cultural icon has made him a strong contender in the Best Actor race.

With this addition to their illustrious lineup of exclusives, Ayala Malls Cinemas continues to be a choice destination for premium and curated content that cannot be found elsewhere. Cinephiles and film buffs eagerly waiting for “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” which was released in the United States on October 24, need not wait long to be able to watch the film on the big screen locally.

Based on Warren Zanes’s best-selling book of the same name, “Deliver Me from Nowhere” is an intimate and emotional look into one of the lowest points of Springsteen’s life. “This isn’t about ‘The Boss,’ the icon. It’s about Bruce – alone, at a crossroads, staring inward,” says writer-director Scott Cooper. “Before the massive stadiums. Before the synths. Before ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ I wanted to strip away the mythology of Bruce and find the man in Colts Neck, New Jersey, with nothing but a guitar and a four-track cassette recorder, asking the same questions we all ask when we feel lost. To me, that raw honesty is where the music lives. And bringing that to the screen changed me.”

Said the New York Times in their review, “The great surprise of ‘Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere’ – a solid, very likable, very affecting drama about an anguished period in the life of the young Bruce Springsteen – is that it doesn’t shy away from soul-deep pain.”

“Cooper’s deeply introspective film is a quiet beauty that understands and has compassion for how creativity and depression so often can be inexorably linked and produce such iconic works,” wrote the San Jose Mercury News, which was also impressed with the film’s intimacy and authenticity.

Aside from the exclusive and quality films themselves, the movie-watching experience in Ayala Malls Cinemas is made even more unforgettable with the premium features they offer: plush seating with generous legroom, cutting-edge laser projections for sharper images, and top-notch Dolby Sound and Dolby Atmos technologies to enhance audio depth – which all make for the best way to experience what Springsteen describes as “a character-driven drama with some music.”

While getting immersed in “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” cinema patrons can enjoy a variety of delicious treats from The Movie Snackbar, which include the movie must-have popcorn, hotdog sandwiches, yummy burgers and ice-cold beverages.

“Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere,” directed by Scott Cooper and starring Jeremy Allen White as the iconic rock star, and Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s longtime manager and producer Jon Landau, is another must-see Ayala Malls Cinemas exclusive, starting November 12.
