On a twitter post, ABS-CBN News reporter Mario Dumaual confirmed the dismissal of rape cases filed against Kapamilya actor Vhong Navarro.
He shared that Vhong is “relieved” and “grateful” about the decision. “Vhong navarro is grateful and overwhelmed by DOJ decision dismissing rape charges against him – chito rono, manager of vhong @abscbnnews”
According to DOJ, Deniece’s claims against the Vhong showed major “inconsistencies.” “DOJ: Deniece Cornejo’s 3 complaint affidavits vs Vhong Navarro suffer from major inconsistencies | via @InaReformina”
However, Vhong’s counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga stressed that the dismissal of Deniece’s rape case against Vhong is not the end of the battle. The illegal detention case against Cedric Lee and his cohorts will still push through.

Last July 2017, Deniece filed her third rape case against Vhong, it came three years since filing her second rape case against the host-actor.
