Quezon City, Philippines, July 13, 2012—The Filipino Channel (TFC) will showcase the best of the Filipino talent with the launch this month of “TFCKat,” the first and only worldwide talent show that truly brings together Pinoys from the four continents where there is TFC. With the mission of championing the Filipino values and culture most especially among the youth, TFC will launch the talent competition in North America, Europe, Australia and some parts of Asia.
According to Chief Marketing Officer Jojo Ines, “Through TFCkat, TFC hopes to promote appreciation of Filipino identity and pride further”.
TFCKat is open to a Filipino or an individual who has a Filipino lineage and who is 12 to 50 years old as of May 1, 2012. The contestant should also be based in the territory where the audition is held. During the TFCKat competition, the contestant can showcase his ability whether in singing, dancing, acting and other talents.
Interested parties can join TFCKat in three ways:
- First, a contestant from U.S., Canada, Middle East, Europe, Australia, Japan and other parts of Asia-Pacific can by prepare a 3-5 minute routine in video format and upload the said video on www.tfckat.com.
- Second, the contestant can also submit his video via youtube.com and send the link to the TFC Facebook page together with a filled out registration form that may be downloaded from www.tfckat.com
- Lastly, the contestant can also participate in live auditions to be held in selected venues worldwide.
Finalists in the U.S.A. will compete in the Grand Finals to be held at One Kapamilya Go! in Callifornia, U.S.A on September 16, 2012. In the Middle East, finalists will compete on September 14, 2012. In Europe, the finals will be held in Nice, France on September 15, 2012. For other grand finals competition, venues will be announced via the TFCKat website.
The Grand Winner for each region will take home cash prize, a slot in the televised audition for a singing competition broadcasted on Philippine television, round-trip tickets for 2 to Manila, Philippines with free accommodations*, and a chance to appear and perform in the exclusive programs of TFC – Balitang America, Barangay USA in the U.S., Balitang Canada and TFCConnect in Canada, Balitang Middle East and Kabayan Tambayan in the Middle East, Balitang Europe in Europe, TFC Connect in Australia, Singapore, Guam and Japan.
