Story of relatives, known for stealing from fisheries and killing a fishery owner in Infanta, Quezon

Broadcast journalist Gus Abelgas continues to look for the country’s most wanted criminals this Saturday (June 22) in “SOCO” where he looks into the story of relatives who are known for stealing from fisheries and killing a fishery owner in Infanta, Quezon.

When thefts in family fisheries in Silangan, Infanta had been pervasive, Lina Gloria made sure someone watched over her family’s. One day, however, her husband was shot dead when he was keeping an eye on their fishery. Lina was able to recognize the suspects and identified them as Larry Peñamora and his nephews Ruel, Rommel, and Randy who immediately fled the crime scene.

Even before the incident happened, the Peñamora family was already suspected to be stealing from other people’s waters as they would always sell tubs of crabs and shrimps at the local market even though nobody knew where they got them. However, nobody dared to ask them because they were feared, and they were known to have improvised firearms.

Rommel was arrested this June, but the others remain at large. A P20,0000 reward for each of the remaining three suspects is up for information leading to their arrest.

“SOCO” fortified its search for justice for crime victims this month when it launched its microsite (www.abs-cbnnews.com/soco/wanted), where details about the offenders featured in the show are posted, as well as instructions on how to help law enforcers catch them.

Watch “SOCO: Scene of the Crime Operatives” this Saturday (June 22) after “Showbiz Inside Report” on ABS-CBN. For updates on the program, like www.facebook.com/Abs-Cbn-SOCO. To watch the last three episodes of “SOCO,” visit www.abs-cbnnews.com/soco.
