It’s been a while since the most controversial ‘airport’ scandal between Enrique Gil and Jessy Mendiola happened. It is remembered that Mendiola was allegedly harassed by the drunk Gil. It was testified by Mendiola’s close friend Luis Manzano who went between the two when Gil started to make a scene. Gil apologized on national TV days after.
However, the rumor didn’t die down that fast because some netizens verbally attacked Mendiola. Unlike other celebrities, Mendiola didn’t just stay quiet on the issue but chose to say only what needs to be told. Eventually, it slowly died out.
Until, another issue arises that involves the actress, again! A rumor circulating that she is pregnant. There was no direct source of the speculation, but Mendiola already contradicts the issue.
“Hindi ko nga alam na may balita na preggy ako. Kanina ko lang nalaman. Bakit kaya? Siguro kasi malaman ako ngayon. I don’t know,” Mendiola said in an interview with Push.com. (Translation: I didn’t know there was a circulating issue about me being pregnant. I just learned it today. Maybe because I gained weight. I don’t know)
When she was asked about her reaction about the rumor, Mendiola sarcastically replied, “Iba na rin pala ngayon kasi mas nauuna pang malaman ng iba na buntis ka kesa sa sarili mo.” (Translation: Everything change today, because people tend to know first you are pregnant than yourself.)
Even Mendiola’s mother, Didith Garvida, gets at the issue to back-up her daughter. She replied to some bashers in Mendiola’s Instagram account, denying the accusations. Didith’s answer was already deleted on the post.
Right now, Jessy Mendiola is busy doing TV commercials and she will be playing Grace Fontanilla in ABS-CBN’s upcoming soap “You’re My Home.”
