- Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes expressed his excitement over working with Star Cinema once again.
- According to the actor, the film is a family-oriented one — a genre that’s very new for him.
- He thanked Star Cinema for trusting him; he even revealed that he did not hesitate to accept the offer of the film production.
- He also said he is now feel “at home” with the picture motion company.
He may be a Kapuso by contract, but his heart belongs to ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema.
During the story conference for his new film with Aga Muhlach, Enrique Gil, and Cristine Reyes, Dingdong expressed his excitement as he will be top-billing another Star Cinema movie after the success of “The Unmarried Wife” in 2016.
“Lahat ng nabibigyan ng pagkakataon na makapagtrabaho kahit ano pa yan ay isang blessing. Pero para maging para makabuluhan ang trabaho na gagawin mo kailangan doble ang saya,” said.
This will the first time the Kapuso actor will do a family-oriented film, which is very different from his past Star Cinema flicks such as “One More Try” and “The Unmarried Wife”.
“First time kong gagawa ng ganitong klase na proyekto na involved ang pamilya may nanay, may tatay at mga kapatid. Madalas kasi nagpapaiyak lang ako ng mga nagiging asawa ko sa mga roles ko so it’s such a breather for me to do a family movie,” he shared.
Dingdong also confessed he is a fan of Aga; stressing that the presence of his idol in the movie has made him more excited to do the project. He pointed out, “Si kuya Aga bago palang talaga ako pumasok sa industriya he’s one of the people I really look up to kaya excited ako.”
The 36-year-old then added that he is feel “at home” with Star Cinema; hence, he instantly accepted the offer by the said production company.
“Iba yung feeling kapag may trust involved. Just like any family — it’s built on trust and love — ‘di ba? E para sa akin na-build yung trust throughout the years because I entrust also my craft and my talent kaya magagandang proyekto ang nagbibigay sa akin likewise. I’m grateful that [Star Cinema] trust me enough para mabigyan ng ganitong mga roles kaya inaalagan ko yun. Kaya I’m happy to be back,” Dingdong emphasized.
Titled “Seven Sundays”, the film will be Dingdong’s sixth film with Star Cinema. His films, under the film production, when combined, would gross more than P867 million.
