The Sinag Maynila Film Festival has officially opened its Call for Entries for its 9th edition, inviting Filipino filmmakers from across the country to submit their completed films for the 2027 festival.
Carrying the theme “Sine Lokal, Pang Internasyonal,” Sinag Maynila continues its commitment to championing Filipino storytelling by providing a platform for locally rooted stories with global appeal.

The festival aims to showcase films that reflect Filipino culture, experiences, and perspectives while reaching audiences beyond the Philippines.
Filmmakers may submit entries under the following categories:
- Full-Length Features (approximately 70–120 minutes)
- Short Films (approximately 5–15 minutes)
- Documentaries (approximately 15–30 minutes)
To qualify, applicants must comply with the following requirements:
- Fully accomplish the official online entry form.
- Submit film screeners and trailers through private Vimeo or Google Drive links.
- Ensure that all films and trailers contain English subtitles.
- Complete all required submission details, as incomplete entries will not be accepted.
- Submission is free of charge.
Entries will be accepted until: November 30, 2026 (11:59 p.m. Philippine Time)
